My name is Rachel Proctor and I’m a freshman at Lee University. The all-star team I was a part of all throughout high school was the result of me receiving a full skill based scholarship to that all-star gym. I served as cheerleading captain on my varsity team and my All-star team my junior and senior years of high school.
I was offered cheerleading scholarships at Newberry College and North Greenville University in South Carolina and at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee, where I currently attend college. I chose not to be apart of the cheerleading team at Lee because I felt the Lord was leading me in a different direction this year. I am currently a member of Lee University’s premier traveling drama and skit team; Kingdom Players. I’ve enjoyed traveling all over the United States this semester spreading the gospel through drama, and I’m very thankful for the doors the Lord has opened for me to be able to do those things, but I can’t help but miss cheerleading.
To get the opportunity to cheer for FCA seems like the best of both worlds in my opinion, combining two of my passions; cheerleading and spreading the love of Jesus.Volunteering with FCA this past summer was a true honor and privilege, and getting the chance to cheer again and under the FCA name would be a dream come true and definitely an answered prayer!
