Melinda Smith

Melinda graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a degree in Music Education and Performance.  Since college she has been on staff at churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia as Minister of Music or in some leadership role in church music. Melinda served as Assistant Director of The Singing Christmas Tree of Athens coordinating rehearsal schedules with a cast of 300 members for 10 years. She teaches Musikgarten Classes (children's/parents)  through the Community School of Music at UGA and also teaches private voice and piano lessons in her home studio.  She also directs a ladies ensemble that ministers to senior adult groups, events, and in assisted living homes. Melinda is married to her high school sweetheart, Tim,  and they have three beautiful daughters, Nicole (and Mike) Cato, Adrienne ( and Jeremy) Boler, and Danielle.  The family is growing with the addition of two gorgeous grand-daughters, Brynn and Savannah.  Melinda attends Cornerstone Church of Athens where she volunteers and co-leads a small group for women.
